Call me crazy, but don't we wait until someone does something notable to start naming buildings, schools etc..after them?
Thought the 44th president hasn't yet completed his first 100 days in office, a school board in California, at the request of students, has voted to rename its facility, making it reportedly the first middle school in the country named after Barack Obama.

You don't think being the first black American president is "notable?"
HistorianDude well Obama loves to compare himself to the great men of history. And if you truly are a historian, then you would remember this excerpt from MLK " I Have A Dream " speech
" I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."
Also please note that Obama is NOT 100% black, he had a white mother ( mostly forgotten) when he refers to his ethnicity and let's not forget he is arab.
Historian Dude:
Many people in history have been "notable". Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin.....need I say more? In order to have the honor of having ANYTHING named for you, one actually has to DO something NOTABLE (usually read HONORABLE). Merely getting elected isn't notable. What he does, or does NOT do will tell the tale. I'd rather see what he does BEFORE naming ANYTHING for him.
